I've been dreaming of the past

Jul 23, 2005 20:13

Strange thing, last night I had a dream with my very first boyfriend (and very first EX boyfriend) Rick Rollins. I've been reading over my eighth grade journal here as of late, but I figured the dream would've happened the night I was reading - wouldn't you ( Read more... )

Brendan here. After sending you that email this morning, I decided to Google your email address to see if you had a LiveJournal or something. It's always fun reading journals, so I seek people out sometimes ( ... )

Hey Brendan!! Great to see you on here - and wow, you're pretty good with that googling stuff. I never in a million years would have thought that it would've been that easy to trace. But that's cool, I've been wondering how you've been lately, as our emails kinda stopped. XD I'm actually back in Viola now, so if you're still living with your folks I'm back across the road again, lol ( ... )

Haha, sorry about dying in the emails. I checked our emailing history, and the last time we exchanged messages was December 2007. I think I just got lazy. Yep, I'm living with my parents still. I'm studying to pass the real estate exam, got my certificate from TN TREES in November. I also might get a part-time job soon at this place called the Hands-On Science Center, managing the lights or sound effects for the plays. A friend of my sister's works there, so it's pretty much a sure deal if I accept.

Hmm... do you think you might have been more acclimated to social environments back then because you were forced into them five days a week, seven or eight hours a day? In the adult world, you're not forced to be in a building of 2,000 kids on a regular basis.

And honestly, I don't think there's much to judge you about or laugh at you for, but considering the company we had at Morrison... well... yeah. I still remember that time in 7th grade English where Michael Wright was picking on you for some reason, but then said something along ( ... )

You know, to be honest I don't remember Michael Wright saying that - though it could have been possible. We had a thing where I was easy to make fun of but we were also kinda friends... because I remember having some genuinely good times with him. He gave me grief, but most of the time he was so funny that it didn't really last long ( ... )

I remember Amanda and Coty's relationship, now that you mention it. I think Alysa might've been interested, too. Trista Dillard acted interested in Ben Dunn sometimes. And Chris Miller x Kayla Colvin sounds like a good pairing. :) Definitely approve of that one. Danny Love... hehe, I'm not sure if you remember this or not since PE wasn't co-ed, but there was this one time he got hit in the head with a basketball twice in one day (The second time it actually knocked him to the ground). It was the funniest thing ever. XD Are there any hippie communies in Tennessee? I honestly don't much about the hippie lifestyle, but they do seem peaceful and nonjudgmental, two traits which more people could do well to adopt ( ... )

I remember Krista Dillard being interested in Ben Dunn. But it could have been Trista, too... I dunno. :P ( ... )

Mrs. Curtis' class... that room has a lot of meaning to me for some reason. Maybe it was the fact that it was our classroom for kindergarten (Mrs. Sandy <3) and grades 6-8. Maybe it was the bleak, miserable atmosphere. I don't know. Of course, pretty much every room and hallway at Morrison Elementary has meaning to it. The place left a much deeper mark on me than Warren County High School; hallways at Warren County High are just hallways, rooms are just rooms. Sometimes I wonder about everything that happened between September 1993 and May 2002. Kindergarten was simple and innocent, but things became more complex each year. There's a lot of things I've forgotten about from both the early years and the later ones, and I'm sure that every student has thoughts and experiences associated with the place as deep as ours. There might be more meaning in those 8.5 years the Class of 2002 spent together than we'll ever know ( ... )

I dream of WCHS hallways being confusing, lots of stairs, and doors leading to nowhere... symbolic, no? XD My best times were there. Of course my favorite things were my friends but if I had it to do over, I would probably leave it as it was... everything there happened for a reason.

Since Kindergarten things definitely became more complicated. One thing I really noticed was how Miss Woods seemed to love us as little kids but then grew to despise us as teens. Kindergarten was almost Summer... I had my share of trials and tribulations there, too, but not as many. That point up until then were a slow Fall and Winter... Winter being the longest, most cold ever at MES. Spring didn't come until high school.

Oh, sorry, I mean... okay, the main building, right? Where you turn right coming out of the principal's office, then there's the double doors on your right leading to the outdoor walk to the cafeteria? You'd walk down that awning-and-concrete path toward the gym/Mrs. Curtis hallway? Yeah. That door.
