My trip into Uruguay was in general pretty good, although there were a couple of mishaps:

the delta flight to ba was as expected. decent food but very tight space so it was hard to sleep. food was not satiating though-i ate a second meal and was still hungry.
took a while to get used to the hostel and the way things work in this country:

I'm here for a whole week for a training camp at work. It's been pretty good so far..I get good food, great presentations, my own room , managed to find free internet (it's supposed to cost $11/day), and the clock radio has an auxilary plugin so I'm playing my iPod tunes through it right now..I might go out tomorrow and Thurs night with my ( Read more... ) -

So for those of you who are either not on my friend's list or don't check your LJ regularly, I found a job, and went on a family visit/vacation to Hong Kong and China before I started the job today. HK/China Trip day 1: YYZ->YVR->HKG
I’m on Air Canada Flight AC 105 flying near Kelowna, BC. We’ll be landing at YVR in about 45 mins where I will switch onto AC 7 which will take me to Hong Kong in about 14 more hours.
The idea of me taking a trip to Hong Kong and China to visit my relatives was only talk until I’ve successfully negotiated with my new employer a 4-week wait ( Read more... )
