so I get to post my own question on knitting...
I would love it if anyone who is going to Pennsic and is willing to sit with me to teach me how to do a heel would. I will be at North Star Armory on Street of Gold.

I'd be delighted to. How are you making the sock?

I tend to do toe up socks with a short row toe and heel. I can bring books with other patterns.

I do toe-up and thats all I know I would like to know how to do heels I did this heel that was a wild twisty thing that worked but was but ugly. I'm like playdough for sock making moldable

The short row heel is easy and versatile. When will you be at Pennsic -- I'll be there the whole 2 weeks (eeek!) but will be doing all sorts of things -- casting bronze, the Wakefield Cycle plays, weaving, classes, assisting a merchant, etc.

She's teaching one class - Veggies, they're not just what food eats. Other than that she's planning on being at Atlantian Court Wed night of war week. They're running North Star Armory for frederich's Laurel this year so that would be the place to find her most of the time. The plan is for them to drive up Thurs, Aug 2 and they'll probably come home the last Saturday.

I'll see if I can post the knitting books that she/frederich has. I'm pretty sure she has ethnic socks.
