Caught a few scenes of the new "War of the Worlds" movie on CNN while I was flipping through the channels, and Bayonne, NJ is figured quite prominently into the movie. I don't know if whether Tom Cruise's character or the bulk of the story takes place there, but there's a scene where Cruise, Dakota Fanning, and some kid holding a box are walking

They did a lot of filming in Newark too.. Blew an actual crater into one of the roads, then fixed it.
