Oh, these are great! Lovely.

Some of my favourite lines:

The men on the walls, the men that had sat in his seat before him, kept him company.

he missed throwing open the mess freezer and watching the way the moods turned into colours and the colours turned into tastes.

It was as if the building never changed, the common late-nighters just fading in and out of its blackened halls, eating away the dreams they offered up.

Actually, the whole of #5 made me shiver. Beautifully written.

Also, now I want ice cream.

I like #5, too. But #3 was probably the most fun to write. I was craving ice cream for two hours after that.

This is so beautifully written; this has to be my favorite line: he missed throwing open the mess freezer and watching the way the moods turned into colours and the colours turned into tastes. It's almost lyrical.
