Forgot to mention - my tiny little NCIS ficlet, Sawdust and Scotch, was nominated at ncis_awards for best angst gen, which is a little strange because, well, it's tiny.  The gen voting page is here, anyway.

Remind me to vote for you when I get back from work. It's funny, all this NCIS fandom coming out of the woodwork, because when it first started everyone said "Oh, it's a show your parents watch" - since I am older than most people's parents, I have no argument with this.

People used to ask me, "NCIS? What's that?" (Just like on the show, and yes, it is annoying.) I don't get asked that anymore. Friends who don't watch the show make fun of me for loving it because they think it's not very good - but then again, they've never seen it. Anyway, long story short is that at least they know what it is now.
