Help! Where's the island!

The HPN, our island home for several years, has been hit by ... something. See more details in rattlesnakeroot's post here.

What to do? Wait and hope for the best? I don't know. I am sure that Nicc is doing everything in his powers to get things back up and running, but meanwhile we can only wait and hope for the best.

So, I hope this action will prove entirely

Thanks, Ianus.I'm particularly worried about the regulars who don't know what's going on. If they can be contacted privately by anyone who has email addresses or who are on different forums with them, we can spread the word.

In the meantime, I'm waiting for Nicc to get back about the status of HPN. /Olwen

Earlier today I wrote several group Owls on CoS to all the people I could think of who are also members of HPN, even those who regularly check my LJ in case they missed Ianus's posts. I sent them the link to this group. Some of them may not have LJ accounts, but they can sign in with Facebook or Twitter.

Fostwolf contacted me. Thank goodness he still had my email address, so I asked him, if he had anymore HPNers' email addresses, to please pass the word. I sent him the link to this and your group.

I don't know how to contact Paradox or Barmy Codger. :( I found a cached copy of one of Barmy's essays, though, and saved it. Maybe Fostwolf has some of their emails? And Nicc may have Paradox's email.

I have a file on my desktop now called HPN Rescue. I'm happy to say I was able to find a copy of the complete Essay List, and I've tracked down copies of about half of them so far, including Subtle's JKR as Critic and the Buffy thread. I was also able to copy the first page of the Rickman Appreciation Index with the live links, thank goodness, because it would be hell to hunt down all those sources again.

It's going to take a long time to find everything. *sigh*

LOL ~ that's just what we needed, Inky. Snape on Gilligan's Island! This should be a recurring meme. (I loved the "offshore account" since Thurston and Lovey remind me of Mitt and Ann Romney).

Thank you for creating this community janus_incantus, it's a lovely sentiment and much appreciated! :D I dearly hope the problem at HPN can be straightened out, and as much as possible saved from the insightful, creative and fun discussions, etc!
