So we have moved. In the end the actual move was rather painless. Paying for a packer turned out to be the best couple of hundred we've spent for a long time. The guy turned up on Tuesday morning and by the time he went home everything had been packed and, apart from the bed, sofa, tv and a large wardrobe, was in the removal van - simples, and then

Most excellent. Just after moving in is the highest risk time for break-ins, please be vigilant and have the locks changed. Sorry for being so practical, it's just the way I was brought up.
