Ok, my brain is fried, I have been shopping online for a computer for most of the day. It is kind of frustrating but I think that there is a system out there for me somewhere. Anyone have any suggestions to some site where I might go to and find a good system without putting me in debt for the next forty years? If you do, thanks. Well, must ( Read more... )

Most of them are used computers, but they've been refurbished by the manufacturer and some even carry a warranty. Their stock turns over quite readily, so if you don't find what you're looking for right away, check back in a week or so.

Got my laptop through them and I've been pretty happy with it. Only paid $425 for it.

The only problem is, no matter what you buy, its gonna be outdated in 6 months. And considering my comp is 2 years old, I feel waaaay behind the pack.

Oh yeah? Well, I built my computer 2 years ago out of parts that were already 2 years old back then. Now, who has the worst computer?

Congratu-fuckyou-lations you 'puter is older than mine. We both need new computers so we can keep up. I have my logins/passwords for access to computers at the NC Supercomputing Center now. We can raise some real hell :) One of the IBMs is using 16 CPUs for calculations...I can barely contain myself.
