Ok, my brain is fried, I have been shopping online for a computer for most of the day. It is kind of frustrating but I think that there is a system out there for me somewhere. Anyone have any suggestions to some site where I might go to and find a good system without putting me in debt for the next forty years? If you do, thanks. Well, must

Most of them are used computers, but they've been refurbished by the manufacturer and some even carry a warranty. Their stock turns over quite readily, so if you don't find what you're looking for right away, check back in a week or so.

Got my laptop through them and I've been pretty happy with it. Only paid $425 for it.

The only problem is, no matter what you buy, its gonna be outdated in 6 months. And considering my comp is 2 years old, I feel waaaay behind the pack.

Congratu-fuckyou-lations you 'puter is older than mine. We both need new computers so we can keep up. I have my logins/passwords for access to computers at the NC Supercomputing Center now. We can raise some real hell :) One of the IBMs is using 16 CPUs for calculations...I can barely contain myself.
