I'm not authorized to view that protected entry (the inspiration).

For some reason, today, I decided to google "In conclusion, Kevin Kline".

Your personal journal and this one made up most of the hits on over a page of Google hits.

Hee, that's funny. Well it's probably because we kind of made it up.

The basic story is:

Roz writes some stuff about school and news and serious things, and then ends with,

"In conclusion,"

and a bunch of audio files and pics of Kevin Kline.

And then in the comments:

Me:

"Also, that would be a good way to end a discussion or perhaps an oral argument to the Supreme Court:

"Clearly, my client is entitled to reparations under the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution.

In conclusion, Kevin Kline.

Thank you, Your Honors.""

Roz:

"I am sorely tempted to end my oral research report for Colloquium like that:

"...and so you can see that a university-managed carpool system would be both an effective and affordable means of transportation for students living on campus. In conclusion, Kevin Kline."

At which point a PowerPoint slide of the above would click into view, and then my three other group members would stab me with my pen."

...And then we just sort of started using it randomly at the end of posts sometimes. :)

It's insidious. It sticks.

So don't be surprised if I start using it.

Unless you trademark it. :)

In conclusion, Kevin Kline™

HEE! Oh, feel free. I think it comes and goes. For awhile there, several of us were using it. And clearly, several of us are amused by it. Heh.
