A summons to all of you!

Aug 08, 2007 11:22

Might I mention that the City is playing us like violins? Little puppet strings on all our hands, guiding us around, the deities laughing, and the ticking, you can hear it, when you're alone and watching the lights twinkle below in the haze? Your feeble superiors crushing you into the dust, your enemies nipping at your heels, the world pinning you against the wall...

If you don't hate it, you're just as pathetic as the rest of the ignorant here.

But if you do...follow us.

Revolutions come and go. The tower of humanity rots away like the wooden shambles it is. But this City is build on granite -- yet we residents here have the guns to blow it all away. You all just haven't seen it, have you? You've been busy toying with your little ideals and scuffling amongst yourselves while you're being laughed at from above, haven't you?

Get off your chairs and do something. Join Ingram and myself. Crush the do-gooders who just want to keep order. Set your sights high into eternity -- first the ignorant, then the resistance, then the powerful, then the deities themselves!

Crawl out of your cowards' holes and fight!

Ingram Prisken and myself are summoning you all out of your trifling little existences. If you're still afraid, we'll keep the skin on your backs. But who are we? A Time Diver, with technology worth more than your life and more powerful than your wildest dreams, and an invulnerable telekinetic immortal. Those you fear, if they can match your own power, cannot match you and your allies.

Come with us.

(OOC: First off, if anyone who would betray this note to the forces of good in the City is reading this, then your character does not see this post. Ingram and I are trying to stir up some fun in Poly, and we'd like to get this off the ground.)
