First, the life bit: I accepted the offer from Autonomy, having first told Laser-Scan about it, and given them two days to respond. They, naturally, failed to do so. I'll probably be starting a week today

Well, it cost me nothing to live for the week - food accomodation and transport all covered, so that's probably a few, off the bat.

As for Lessons Ye Shall Not Forget In A Hurry. Who knows, but I'd guess it was a few.

I certainly learned a lot about stopping kids being so shy.

I thought of the wandering teachers thing, too... it was really quite similar, I thought, especially whilst we were at the campsite.
