I hope Doodle is always that happy. I shudder at the thought but know the day will come. It's something pet owners have to face eventually. We'll all generally out live them. Mortality sucks for both animals and humans.
He's such a pretty kitty. Justremember the good stuff.
i'm sure she will be that happy. she is loved very much by her mom n' dad. :)
mortality sucks period, but yeah. with pets it's basically guaranteed you will outlive them. it's like, do you live your life without them to avoid that pain, or take the opportunity to enrich eachother's lives, knowing that you'll have to eventually face their death? obviously i choose the latter at my own expense. it's so worth it. they bring such joy. and i always think of where they may have ended up had i not adopted them. i have no regrets.
It reminds me of my first dog, Skipper. He was like that with me when I was upset, he just knew and he'd be there, sit with me, look at me, lick my cheek, small things that made me feel moderately better.
I'm very sorry to hear about the kitten. It's difficult watching a pet suffer.
yeah. animals can heal in ways that humans just can't. bonds like that with an animal are very precious.
thank you. it is difficult, though i take comfort in knowing we're taking care of him better than anyone else would. if we hadn't taken him in he'd be long gone and would not have led such a happy life.
You're welcome. You should take that comfort, it's clear you love your pets very much. Having such connections with them is priceless also, nothing can replace that.
