Oh, this was such a wonderful read. I love how Fuji steadily matures in this piece, like he's growing up.

Oh damn, this was awesome.

I sort of squeaked over this line, like, three times, because-- just yes, that's pretty much perfect:

In Ryoma Echizen, Momoshiro found a best friend, Kaidoh found a cat owner, Inui found an interesting test subject, Eiji found his very own "ochibi", Oishi and Kawamura found a player that could take them to Nationals, Tezuka found himself, and Fuji found a rival.

Just love the way Fuji evolved, how he started to 'grow up' and change his thought about Tezuka. I love their interaction that based on their friendship. I love how Fuji carried himself with his pride, but most of all, I love when Tezuka said "I wanted to help you" ^_~ Thank you so much for writing this and sharing with us!!
