Title: Song of Moonlight
Author: theirblinggirl
Rating: G
Pairing: Wufan/Yixing (I think they call that Kray or smth)
Word count: 649
Summary: Another drabble for that
Tree of Life/MAMA MV!AU - the pairing is not all that solid, tho, more like a moment for them. Yixing takes Wufan to one of his favorite places in all worlds.
A/N: I have grown absolutely fond of this universe, so I will probably be randomly posting drabbles like these for it in the future. If anyone is, like, interested, you could tell me characters you'd like to read about or something. I'm thinking Jongin for the next one (or maybe KaiSoo).
Also, title is from
this song, I advice you to listen to it while reading, it really compliments the mood I think.

Silky, dark-green grass lay under their feet as they stood amongst the old trees - he knew they called it shadegrass for it grew under the protecting shadows of the forests. They were in a small, long valley; a tiny slip of water ran across it, like a silver ribbon, and on both sides, trees reached towards the rich-blue sky. The hills that embraced the little valley were covered with the forest, providing home to all kinds of creatures that sought shelter.
Everything was alive around them - he saw it like a transparent, golden mist around the plants, the animals and also the people; bright but barely there. And the brightest were the young man and woman who stood by the stream in the very middle of the valley.
Other people surrounded them, faces shining with life and like the sun. The man and the woman held hands while listening to an elderly man that stood in front of all the others and their gazes never left each other’s faces.
Faeries danced around the couple in the air, tiny, quick glints of light and shadow, of warmth and cold, of life and magic. They were touching their faces and murmuring in their ears as others tied colorful flowers around their joined hands.
Even more faeries were flickering in the forest where the two of them stood in silence, and Wufan was not surprised to see them gathering around Yixing. They came to sit on his shoulders, little fingers combing through the warm brown waves of his hair, giggling as they blew kisses into his ears, adoration pouring from their shining rainbow eyes.
Both Wufan and Yixing resembled those by the stream, though they did not look exactly alike - if the people saw them, they would have felt inferiority and amazement at the same time, so they chose to remain hidden. Still, human form was Wufan’s most favorite form to travel in - he’s always been fond of humans; and it was Yixing’s second favorite.
“Why did you bring me here?” Wufan asked, looking at Yixing, who tore his gaze from the people in the valley and turned to Wufan with a soft smile.
“Because I wanted to show you this. It’s a wedding. People of this world come here often to tie their lives together. They call this place the “Meadow of Faeries” and believe that the blessing of it will bring happiness in their joint life.”
“And will it?”
“I wouldn’t know… but certainly, it’s beautiful, isn’t it? How they care about being together, how they love each other so much you can actually see it…”
“That I can” Wufan nodded with an amused smile of his own, and brought his gaze back on the couple just as they stepped closer and embraced each other.
“They have become one now” Yixing whispered and smiled even wider and Wufan, for a second, wondered if this was what made the entire valley so beautiful.
“Just like we are” he answered, suddenly understanding Yixing’s words, and took hold of his hand.
“Yes, just like the twelve of us are” Yixing nodded, his voice mingling with the song that the people by the stream started to sing. For a moment, Wufan wasn’t sure he and Yixing meant the same thing…
…and suddenly, Kris woke.
The idea of sleeping and dreaming was still unfamiliar for him, and many times he wondered if all the memories he kept seeing in his sleep really counted as dreams, because they reminded him more of traveling through different realms with his body left behind.
He heard the sounds of the city around him - a cacophony so frightening at first but so natural now - and in his head, the song from his memory lingered.
And then he realized what his dreams really were, what they meant.
Suddenly he knew he had to find the others.
He had to find Yixing.
A/N2: uggh so this was most likely boring as shit for like everyone who even tried to read it because who the hell reads G anyways but in any case, i just had to because I love Yixing and wanted to write him I had to get it out of my head and really, I enjoy this universe.
So again, thank you for reading so so so much, and if anyone has any idea what they'd like to read in the au (i guess pairings are pretty much set finally) let me know~~
