Extremely well written and compiled but I would love to have a section titled - FAN THEORY towards the end wherein you shall share some of your predictions for character arcs/SL.

What restricts SALEM from being a must watch television, well at least for me, is how the viewers are expected/forced to cheer for the witches. Essentially speaking, the lack of a protagonist. The central character of Mary Sibley in her pursuit of overthrowing the puritanical regime is killing off the innocents/poor(which now includes pox ridden young children) who have suffered just as much(probably more) under the ruling of her husband. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING can justify her murderous antics ( ... )

As always, I like how your mind works! I think putting a little bit at the end for my predictions might be a good idea and I will give that a shot this week :)

I do agree that they need to put John in more of the forefront (I'm twisting what you said a bit because I believe that he is a protagonist and just has been horribly underused - especially these first 3 episodes) and show his fight and his reasons. I think Shane himself said John wasn't at peace so to speak so much as he said if they left together and start a life he would take it as part of her. But now that he knows what they were planning to do a bit and he knows she left him in the woods to do it - his rage has been fuelled by that.

I do think we need a John centric episode and hope for one soon - I remember Brannon and Adam saying we were going to find out why John was saved twice now and so I can assume it is coming. But sadly we have to put up with Anne heavy episodes. I like Tamzin and she is a great actress, but I really cannot sit through another Anne heavy ( ... )

Tamzin, besides being an ethereal beauty, has shown that she truly can hold her own on screen. But her character is so hard to sympathize with. She has had such a good life(away from the poverty and oppression) as opposed to that of Mercy and yet she behaved like a spoilt brat through majority of the first season.

Additionally, we have already seen the journey of a young girl(Mercy) embracing the witchcraft to accomplish a secure/powerful status for themselves just like Mary. Why do we need to see Anne undergoing the same journey this season.

She is and she was amazing in The Tudors but I think because she was such a brat in season 1 it is hard to feel sorry for her. Maybe if she starts to work against the witches with Cotton - but with the promo for this weeks episode it seems like Mary is trying to get her claws into her even more.
