Holy crap son, that's awesome! Awesome like a narwhal! Congradulations and fear not for your future, because seriously, out of everyone's paper, they liked *yours* the best. You successfully supported your argument--who's going to get on you for that?
And it's no fair to say yuor career will fail based on a single instance. My own mother strted her architect career by doing calligraphy for people's "Just Married" posters.

Also, you are a worry wart. People aren't going to go look up your article and go "well, lets think of all the research that possibly COULD have been in here and see if we think any of it was ignored for the sake of a more well supported argument."
They are going to go, "Oh, this lady was published before she was even out of school, that is impressive."

Worst case scenario, prepare an argument about the stuff you left out and on off chance a future employer DOES bring up the stuff you felt you ignored, you can hold a reasonable argument on the subject and leave the person with an even MORE favorable impression.

I know no one more deserving of being published.
