I am SO Un-American.
I've been putting off the dreaded Grocery Store trip for over a week now. It wasn't really one of those "on purpose" things - it's just that, well, grocery store trips seem to take the better part of an hour, even if you're by yourself, and you have a list, and that list has only ten things on it. E-mail writing is an undiscovered art.
I have spent over an hour and a half trying to craft the perfect e-mail response that is simultaneously flattering and manages to impress without actually seeming like I'm blatantly lavishing praises/being needy. And all in under fifty words.
I'm pretty certain that I've written some of my papers in a shorter timespan than this.

Among the HUGE list of minor bat shit insane things I've had to dealt with, I just found out that one of my friends from high school fucking died from leukemia recurrence.

Actually, I've had it for a bloody long while. But since I stopped fencing, and stopped playing the piano, and stopped participating in rugby (which has very little to do with carpal tunnel but a lot to do with other aches/pains/bruises), and stopped drawing, the issue more or less went a way for quite a while. My grandfather, the one who taught me how to laugh and care for green stuff (plants.) has been in and out of the hospital ever since the term started. I am mentioning this not for pitying reasons, but for posterity's sake, and I dearly hope that I do not have to connotate this week with anything else about it ( Read more... ) -
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for me to post this, and that is why it's being posted.
The migraine fled sometime between six and seven PM yesterday. I finally slept last night*, but I can't remember if I ate anything at all yesterday except for a couple of chocolate chip cookies (and even those were a struggle to keep down - I think I managed it through sheer will power and the desire to not faint due to a lack of blood sugar.
