No this is only an unexpected result if you adhere to the Copenhagen point of view. However if you go for the Many World View then this is to be expected :)

I personally am undertaking a deeper study of the Copenhagen point of view. While the Many World View may be attractive I am not convinced it will be more satisfying. In the long run that is.
