Hey there. So I see not talking about it doesn't work at all. You just need to decide for yourself if it's healthier to let them go and whether you can make peace with it and be happier for it. But if that's the easy way out, you will need to work the problem until it either resolves or becomes truly hopeless.

"John has never held a Job"...

Hey, leave my son Job out of this. :)

I haven't seen John in 15 years. It's very hard for people to change. I'm sorry to hear you had a rough night. It would require leadership to help John change for the better. The other question is courage. Do you want to tell him what standards of behavior you expect or just tell him to stay away or will you suffer in silence?

Please send my best to Battle Ground.

They all know where I stand. For now I just have to walk a way.
This is the best choice. Some times you need to be there to catch a friend
when they fall and some times you just have clear the Landing Zone and hope they don't come in to hot.

... As for finding someone that has the right leadership skill to get
John N. on for a long term Job, If we find him\her and they have integrity...
they may get my vote for POTUS...ah, happy thoughts ;p
