Because of the demands on me, my grades began to slip, or my journaling would slip, and my performance levels began to decline way below that which I hold myself to. I decided it was time to part ways with the Academy, and left on October 29th on my own free will. Since then, I have spent a little over a month at my girlfriend’s family’s residence in Colorado Springs, where I have been looking into colleges, careers, and other things for my future. I am returning home on December 18th, where I will look for a job and, if not accepted to FIT, will begin to go to community college in an attempt to get into a 4 year school. My parents, who were not the least bit accepting of me leaving the Academy, were not willing to support me after leaving, and my girlfriend’s family offered to help me get back on my feet until my family cooled down. I am now welcomed back home, and look forward to returning, in order to get back on with my life and my plans to attend college and get a career hopefully with NASA.
