Fair Wisconsin was quick to point out (on their Facebook page -- I can't find any recent updates on their website) that the "budget repair bill's anti-gay language NOT a change in current state law," and that they've "been getting a lot of questions about the affirmative action laws included in the "budget repair" bill that exclude sexual orientation. We're trying to make sure people know that this is NOT a new attack on LGBT people, but rather maintaining the status quo."

I'm not sure why they're making that talking point. Perhaps to keep everyone focused on the labor abuses? Or perhaps just to point out that things are already that bad, to remind us that we're second-class citizens.
