Maybe We Should Just Replace Government Services With Worker Co-ops

In Mondrogon Spain, as a response to Franco's dismantling of the social safety net, the muti-billion dollar democratic worker co-op economy arose as a response. When the government stopped taking care of people, the worker co-ops picked up the slack. That is what we will have to do here in Madison. A friend pointed me at your post. Right on. There is a small community of local businesses organizing on Facebook. (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_134845189917927&ap=1) It's private now, so the link might not let you see anything. The group, which includes me, is looking for ways to focus on, emphasize, support businesses (starting in Madison) that are about community. There are a number of prominent restauranteurs as well as other well-known local businesses (and then, mine).
