I would argue against Setsuna/Marina being a canon pairing, since Setsuna specifically states near the end of the series that his relationship with Marina isn't romantic. Of course, the movie could always change that. ^_~
I just thought of another reason you might be thinking of Setsuna/Marina as canon: in the "next time on" for the episode where Setsuna and Marina first encounter each other, they teased us with the promise, "Next time, Setsuna meets his destined person." Maybe they were originally going to push that angle and then decided not to?
I have a question and it has to do with the end titles:Didn't Sunrise pair Neil with Feldt?I always felt that their relationship was one sided with Feldt having a crush on Neil.Didn't he(sort of) see her as a replacement for his sister,Amy?
When I was browsing the doujinshi at Mandarake last night, I came across this book by merrow and thought of you, because I know they're one of your favorite circes. Do you have that one?
I don't remember the end credits to season one very well, I'm sorry to say. But yes, I would agree that the nature of Neil's feelings for Feldt were not quite the same as the nature of her feelings for him.
I bid on that particular doujinshi just recently on Rinkya and won the bid on it.So I am soon going to be having it in my grubby little hands.Plus I also won the bid on Contasty, another AllelujahxNeil doujinshi by Merrow.
Muskrit! I got myself all ready to start downloading Gundam 00 from Conclave Mendoi again only to discover they don't have anything past episode 12. :( Do you have a recommendation for an alternative?
Thank you so much! Your demeanor seems very positive about Gundam 00, and that is making me feel very happy. The BSG finale left me in a bit of a frustrated, disappointed funk, which I am trying to exorcise by writing up a detailed critique which may or may not ever be finished to my satisfaction (is that irony or a nice symmetry?). :P
Ha! I had some disappointments with the BSG finale, too. My biggest problem was that they employed what is possibly my least favorite sf device of all time: hey, this isn't the future after all--it's the distant past! At least that's what I thought they were saying (that our Earth is the planet they finally settled on in the end, not the one that was left devastated by past mistakes). Maybe I read it wrong.
Anyhow, Gundam 00--I'm not sure that you'll love it the way I did. The ending is far (far!) from perfect, but there are enough moments of satisfaction that I give it my approval. I can't say any more now, but I hope you want to discuss it once you've watched! ♥
