class review:
microbio- eh, it's a class i have to take. would rather not but whatevs.
cell bio- love it. well so far. the teacher is amazing and the class is interesting. however i may not be allowed to take it.
so there are other bios that are pre-reqs for cell bio. this year wayne got all retarded and anal about pre-reqs. they never cared before. now if you don't have at least a 'c+' in the pre-req courses they automatically drop you. i took the pre-reqs at eastern. and got a "c" in one of them. but Eastern doesn't (or at least didnt) have these crazy rules so i went on to the other classes. anyway, since it's a transfer credit i don't know if it counts as a pre-req. i went to the prof and talked to her and she wasn't sure, but she has a list of all the people that are qualified/not qualified to take it. she didnt have it with her at the time tho, so she told me to email her and ask her to check it. i did. i'm waiting for a response.
arabic 2- same as last semester. same prof and everything.
pre-calc- horrible. the teacher is boring, monotone and in is 70's. he told us he doesn't believe in technology.
so they opened a new food stand on/at the oakland campus, where my math class is. turns out my buddy Matt owns it, well his family does, but he runs it. crazy. so I hit that up for free Zen Tazo tea with honey for the voice/throat, and sunflower seeds to get through class with. i think i 'm gonna like this free food/beverage thing. they even have a cappucino machine. good times.
new book totals so far:
micro- $184
pre-calc- $135
cell bio-$179
micro i'm borrowing from a friend, so i'm good there. pre-calc is a new edition so no one has it, and there are no used ones, so i'm gonna buy it online and split the cost with T that has the class with me. theoretically i should be able to get a used copy of my cell bio book online for hopefully cheap but its fairly new as well. and arabic uses the same book as last year, so i'm good there.
also, i have early classes. the only good thing to this is that free parking, and $1 lots are still available by the time i get there. generally its all full by 930. my classes are before that, this is good. i don't think i need to buy a $200 parking permit. this is good, as now parking will be at the most $5 a week/ $60 for the semester instead of $200/semester or $2.25/day. woo money saved!
also, early classes = done early, and i can do the stuff the rest of the day. and not waste it sleeping in late. yup, way to think positive.
oh and yesterday i got gas with my debit card. $29 worth. they only charged my account $1.29. i'm hoping they won't check it.
edit: she emailed me back. my transfer credit qualifies me. woo! i really like her, shes really nice. and fun, and young. young teachers are my favorite because they still remember what its like to be in class.
