wow $13 an hour in california? do you have a lot of debt? i can't imagine that. i make $14.50 in washington (not even a big city) and we're really struggling. mostly its making payments on all our debt that gets us though.

We do actually have a lot of debt, but most of it was from when we were in missions and our two previous cars broke down, oh, and I needed dental work done. We are also making payments on a new car. We have about $8,000 in credit card debt. We can mostly only make the minimum payments, but luckily our apr's are low right now. Danny gets to work a lot of over time during the summer, so we're hoping to eliminate at least some of the debt. We are really struggling too, but it's crazy because there have been times when we've had to write checks to pay bills, when we didn't have any money in our account, and before the check would clear the bank someone from church would give us a check (not knowing our need), or we would sell something, or something else would happen to let us know that God was still looking out for us. We might be doing even better if my husband wasn't such a beer and coffee snob, or if I didn't like my charmin toilet papper (wink and a smile). We do also try and eat healthier, which is sadly not as cheep as

don't be sorry, i really wanted to know. if you tag search "money" in my journal you can hear all about the financial struggles we had this past winter. it really was horrible the way we were in denial about our situation.

PS: i am a milk snob and a chocolate snob. so i know what you mean. :-)
