(I actually feel sorry for the young woman, she's obviously pretty crazy. But the way the Penn. McCain campaign jumped on the "story" and trumpeted it in the worst way possible [in typical fashion, without vetting it at all first] was pretty despicable.)

watching the mccain campaign thrash desperately for a new media cycle meme is pretty fascinating in and of itself. it's very '90s/early 2000s, ride tv media waves, no ground game in the least. knock on wood, but i feel like this is "freaky friday" in comparison to '04.
