So I watched this for the first time in a while today:

HOW DID I FORGET HOW GOOD THIS IS? Seriously, it's almost up there with Holy Matrimony and definitely number two in my top 5 list. Okay, that was a fantastic article. I just saw the episode where Jessie was at the Chansey school, and my friends and I were just like "We feel more for Jessie than we EVER did for Ash! Team Rocket FTW!" Thanks for the great read!

Thank you very much and it's no problem! I agree that they're a lot more sympathetic and realistic than any of the other main cast, and I've always loved them for that.

Seriously, I thought I was kinda weird for, like, sympathizing with TR for a looong time but idk, it makes sense.
Because every time they have an episode with their back stories, I feel sooooo bad for them. ):

Well their lives just suck so much that it's hard NOT to sympathize with them, really. Poor guys ): I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels really bad for them

and James is probably the cutest thing on tv haha

This is great!! I stopped watching Pokemon a few years ago... mainly when the new cast hit the show. I watched that first show in horror. Now I only watch episodes that deal with our "heroes" past. I'm sure I've missed a few too. I never got to see the huge clip of Jessie in that singing band and not going along with her nerd looking boyfriend in English.

I have a couple of questions... Did they ever come outright in the show (or CD drama) that Jessie never met her father/he left her and her mom? And did they ever come outright in the same above and say that James was bullied in school? (it's been a LONG time, so they may have in the older episodes but I haven't seen those in forever!!)

And, what are your top 5 episodes?? XD

i actually haven't watched anything (other than chronicles) after season 5, so i haven't taken any of the things that they've revealed since then into account. i'd like to say it's just because i like to stick with the original writers but really the voice acting has gotten so horrific in the later english seasons that i gave up. i've been thinking about watching it in japanese though, because all of the new backstory sounds really interesting! let me know if you can find a good place to watch the new episodes subbed ( ... )
