Tragedy...

With many people speculating as to the cause of the massacre, I stumbled over this article.

I can't help but feel bad for the guy.

I know! What he did was terrible, but a lot of people are overlooking the fact that he was an honestly troubled person who just snapped.

-sigh- I don't really know how to feel about the whole thing. It makes you want to look around at your classmates a bit more carefully, though, you know? And it makes me glad I don't know anyone with a similar personality.

Look around at your classmates more carefully, get a concealed carry permit... I totally agree.

I'd be more likely to get killed by a classmate in that case... Think about it, some annoying dude in your class? IE me...

At least they were trying to do something at the school.

I'm just now friending you. That's sad. I've known about your livejournal for awhile now.

If you're only now friending me, you haven't read a fraction of the posts!
Yeah, it sucks that the even the school's action couldn't curb the situation...

I hardly feel sorry for this kid. Yeah, I understand that he is troubled, but that doesn't change the fact that we are all responsible for our actions. To be completely honest it pisses me off that they are talking about it this much on the news and such. Honestly, I think in some twisted way, it glorifies him, and makes people with "problems" more likely to do crazy things like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that we have the freedom of communication that we do, but to a lot of really sick people, this is just a way to get attention, and it works.

And anyway, if this kid was really doing the shit that this article says he was doing, he belonged in a freaking ward long ago. I mean seriously, this kid had problems. Letting someone like that stay in school was doing nothing good for anyone.
