I love the theater pics. Do you still participate? I've been involved in community theater for about 4 years now, although mostly behind the curtain. I don't trust my power of memorization for big roles.
Nope .... these pics are from a different life - lol. Maybe one day I will return to the stage, but I made the decision to get out of it because of all the craaaaazzzies out there and I also wanted to have a family. When my children are grown up - who knows which way the wind will blow me. I sure would like to hear some clapping though! LOL! It seems as though as soon as you work and stay home, no one applauds you for your work! Bwa hahahahha....
so true. Tomorrow night is the organizational meeting for the community theater group that has me as Managing Director. My term was only supposed to be for a year, but a couple of people have come up and said they thought I should consider changing it to 3 years, and bring in an asst to take over as I got to the end. I thought this sounded reasonable, but since this morning when my significant other told me he thought I didn't know my limits, especially when it came to the theater, I've been considerin resigning altogether.
And then, this afternoon, I got an inquiry from a regional theater group asking if I'd consider submitting a resume for backstage work, more technical stuff (costuming/crew, props/lighting) which interests me.
So now I don't know. Although I have an inkling what I should do.
Well I was very fortunate when I was in acting because I did what I wanted when I wanted and how I wanted. I think that it is very difficult for mates who are not in the performing arts to have a clear picture of what it is like to be involved because of their 9-5 jobs. Personally if I was offered a decent wage I would take it. If it was volunteer, I would only take it if it fit in with my regular schedule.
My favorite is the first pic by far. If given the opportunity I would like to go into Princess mode for the next bunch of years. What do you think? Want to come along? LOL
You have done a great job raising your kids. These picture are beautiful, but they don't seem like you, to me, you know? I can see you in them. What am I trying to say . . . I guess the pictures are acting, so they don't seem real, if that makes sense. As I said before, you are still beautiful today and I really like you today.
That was the best part about things back then - you are right, they are acting. I always kept my personal and stage life as seperate as I could. If you saw me on the street you wouldn't recognize me because I was low key. I guess I am a private person that way. To me the pics are me because I just loved what I was doing - it was so much fun and I had many, many, many great experiences and met so many people on sets. It was a home away from home once I hit any stage and I really liked that a lot.
