i only just realized today that my new job allows me to be VERY Eloise-ish every single morning. See i park in a parking deck and then walk through a big big hotel to get to my building each morning. Sooooo like Eloise, i too get to check in on all the hotel activities, say hello to the bell hops, make sure the flowers on the tables in the dinning ( Read more... )

I'm sure they appreciate you checking to make sure the black baby grand piano is in tune, little girl.

What concerns me more is the 1/2 stop on the elevator. You are expected to behave and conduct yourself like the polite young lady I have raised you to be.

Oh Abi, i DOOOOO behave like a polite young lady. ~nod nod nod~ i ALWAYS say helpful things like "GOING UP! HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!" and "WHAT FLOOR PLEASE???". i say them very loud so the old people and people standing in the back can hear me ~nod nod nod~. i think tomorrow i shall add "MOVE IT OR LOSE IT! THE DOOR IS CLOSING AND WE SHALL NOT STOP UNTIL THE 16TH FLOOR, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" :oD

i love you, Abi :o>

Part of being a polite, young lady is keeping your voice down. I expect you to do much better. But at least you're not telling the people that everyone is going to "L".

Uuuuuuummm, also, I've been thinking about this all day and maybe you should add to your morning routine pushing all the elevator buttons - just to make sure that they are working and of course to check for possible passengers on every floor that might not have had their morning coffee and so have forgotten how to summon the elevator. I think that the elevator maintenance man will appreciate knowing that you inspect the functionality of the buttons daily. I'm sure it will ease his mind greatly!
