Would anyone happening to read this know where there would be decent food available, other than the cafeteria?

There are more options in the Marketplace - food stalls, some restaurants. They cost more, of course, and no one seems to know what endwa or csolcir are, but it's worth a look.

That depends on your tastes. There are carts and stalls where you can get various meats-and-vegetables roasted on sticks, wrapped in flatbread, baked into pastries, that sort of thing. And some other foods. They're small enough that anyone that's not fairly popular doesn't stay in business long.

There's a bakery, a candy shop, and a tea shop. The bakery is good. Try to get there as early as possible if you want to be there in time for fresh bread. Can't say I've had much to do with the other two.

The bar has a menu. Just about everything there is salty, unsurprisingly, and quite a few items seem to be fried. Doesn't mean it's bad, of course. Just designed to make you thirsty so that you'll order a drink.

Really, it's best to try it out yourself. My recommendations might not be to your liking.
