I'm sorry for not having anything USEFUL to say.. but I'm a bit shocked too..
I watched an autopsy a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't pretty.. I can only imagine how it would feel like if it was my dog or someone I held dear... *shudder*

It's a good thing you didn't let your mom see all that... She sounds like a really sensitive person, it would have crushed her even more.

Oh jesus Turtle. I'm so sorry I haven't been around. I can't believe such an awful thing happened to Max. It kills me to know that a part of your family was torn from you in such a way.
