Read it...

Being bored wasn’t the easiest thing for Minwoo, especially when he was on tour by himself. He was currently lounging on one of the hotels uncomfortable sofas, staring jadedly out the glass plated windows. They were practically walls to his room, as he watched the beautiful city view above. It was getting dark outside and he hadn’t done anything all day. His second concert was tomorrow and he wasn’t looking forward to it at all.

Throwing his head back, he whined, “I’m bored!”

His voice echoed in the stillness of his dull looking hotel room. He adjusted his body on the sofa, as he did this he winced at the throbbing pain located in his lower back. He pulled out his cell phone and glared at the time.

“Wow, only six and I’m stuck here.”

He laid there for a few minutes before he mumbled a curse got out of the chair and called his manager. He told her about the crappy sofas and how he was bored as hell in his room. After ranting for a minute or two, Minwoo decided to go out anyway, but with a heavy disguise.

He found a blond wig that fitted perfectly on him in his bag, along with a pair of sunglasses. He knew somehow that a wig and glassed wouldn’t hide the fact that he was a famous singer. He needed to get out of his fancy clothes. He looked too expensive to be just some normal citizen out in the street. So he dressed down a little.

“Why is it so fucking cold out here?” Minwoo grumbled, as he shoved his bare hands down in his coat pockets. He was now outside, buttoned head to toe. A hat and a cotton scarf hide half of his face. The wig wasn’t really needed at all at this point. He crossed the busy street and trying not to bump into people. “I hate winter.”

Minwoo decided to go to one of his favorite bars for a drink downtown. He knew his manager would oppose of this the day before his concert, but he just couldn’t sit up in that hotel any longer. He swore he would die from boredom.

He arrived, the place was almost packed, there were hardly any seats, and this annoyed him. He saw that one of his favorite spots was taken by what appeared to be some guy. He couldn’t see the man because his back was towards him. Since there was more room at the table Minwoo decided to sit there anyway hoping that the man didn’t mind. He pulled off his cap, revealing his blond hair, never taking his shades off, and walked over to the table.

The guy eye’s slowly averted up to a blond man with huge shades on and a huge coat.

Minwoo stared back and his eyes widened. Eric? He smiled a little and nodded his head to acknowledge his friend. Eric did the same, only confused.

“Hi…er do I know you?” Eric asked.

Minwoo was even more surprised. He didn’t even see through his disguise and that made him want to laugh hard.

But it would be fun to trick him, he thought.

“No, well…” Minwoo deepened his voice. “You’re sitting in my favorite spot.” He sat down and turned his head to the side, his long blond hair swaying softly.

If Eric doesn’t recognize my voice, then he’s denser than I thought.

Eric made a face. “I’m sorry, but I was here first. I don’t mind you sitting here though.” Eric leaned back in his seat. His eyes started searching for another place to sit. Minwoo saw this and spoke up.

“Oh don’t mind me. I’m not a bother. I’m just here to get a few soju.”

Eric looked at him. “Yea…” He looked uncomfortable.

“What’s the matter? Don’t talk to strangers?” Minwoo asked sorta dejectedly.

“No.” Eric eyes wandered off, but before he could get up the waitress came with a bottle of soju and a glass. She noticed Minwoo and decided to add another glass. She left quickly before Eric could say a word.

Minwoo smirked. “I guess we’re sharing.” He reached over, took the bottle, and poured him a full glass. Eric watched in disbelief at Minwoo’s actions.

Minwoo took a long gulp.

Eric shook his head. “Do I know you man?”

Minwoo shook his head no. “Why do you keep saying that?”

Eric hesitated before he said, “Cause you sound familiar…and what you just did now…it’s like you’re my friend or something.” The rapper now had the bottle and poured him self a glass.

Hmm, at least he’s suspicious of something. He’s not too dense, thought Minwoo amused.

“So,” Minwoo began trying to change the subject. “Do you come here often?”

Eric wasn’t too sure if he should be talking to this guy, he kind of got turned off by him when he took his soju that he paid for from him. “Yeah, with my friends.” Then he questioned why this stranger didn’t get start struck. Did he know that he’s famous? “Do you?”

“Yeah when I’m bored."

It got quiet as the two young men drink there alcohol.

This is so fun, thought Minwoo.

“I hate cold weather.” Eric mumbled softly. He glanced over at the frost encrusted windows.

“No kidding. Did you drive here?”

“No I walked.” Eric said. “But then these girls wouldn’t leave me alone.”

“I have that problem too.” Minwoo said in what seemed to be in an excited voice. He almost gave himself away.

“Dude, you sound familiar.” Eric took another drink. “And why are you wearing shades? It’s like you’re hiding something.”

“No way, I like these glasses. It makes me mysterious.”

“You wish.” Eric scoffed.

Minwoo watched Eric as he yawned. He noticed how weary his friend and group mate was and he almost felt bad for tricking him like this. But it was all in good nature. He also looked as if he hadn’t shaved in two weeks and Minwoo always found the little stubs around Eric’s chin to be appealing.

“I should go now.” Eric reached in his pocket for his wallet.

“Oh, going home?”

“Nah, to my hotel. I have no time to be at my apartment. I’m a very important person you know. I’m in a boy band if you hadn’t notice.” He stood up and reached for his coat.

Minwoo laughed in the inside. He got the feeling that Eric was pissed that he, the “total stranger” didn’t get that he was from Shinhwa. “I’ll go with you, to keep you company.”

“Why?”

“We…we might be in the same hotel. Together.” Minwoo quickly jumped to his feet.

Eric laughed. “That’s a good thing?” He couldn’t believe this guy that he just met was already trying to be buddy buddy with him.

“Oh, well you seem like a really great person…”

“Whatever, which hotel?”

Minwoo told him and off they went.

“Room service is okay around here.” Eric said.

Eric and Minwoo were now on an elevator going up to the top pf the hotel where only the rich was catered too. Eric curiously looked over at the guy. “You room up here?”

Minwoo cleared his throat. He tried to think of something.

“Earth to…oh hey by the way what’s your name?”

Sighing in relief Minwoo came up with something. “Hyun bin.”

“Like the actor?”

“Yeah.”

“But you’re definitely not the actor.” Eric crossed his arms. “So you rich?”

“Yeah.”

“My names Eric.”

“Oh, like the singer…” Minwoo grinned.

Eric nodded. “You noticed.”

Silence.

“What’s with the glasses?” Eric asked again. “Too good for society?”

Damn right, Minwoo thought. But he reminded himself to stay in character as this strange bleach blond guy who wore sunglasses too much.

“Maybe I do feel insecure, but I’ll take them off eventually. I just gotta get comfortable. I’m weird like that.”

The elevator stopped on the floor 50. Eric stepped off, Minwoo did also.
“You’re creeping me out Hyun bin. Don’t tell me you’re on the same exact floor.” Eric started to walk down the narrow hall of the hotel. Minwoo who was trying to catch up said,

“Ironic huh? Both bored, meet at some bar, and have the same hotel residence as each other.” Minwoo was enjoying this and he loved it even more when he saw Eric turn his head and give him this weirded out expression. He knew that he was freaking him out.

They reached Eric’s room. Eric reached for his knob. He quietly said, “You want to come in for tea or something?”

Minwoo smiled. “Sure.”

Why the hell is he letting some stranger in so easily? Did Eric always do this?

Minwoo was now in. He unbuttoned his coat and let Eric take it for him. The hotel was a complete mess and all of Eric’s clothes were laying everywhere.

How long was he here? Minwoo thought horrified. He took one step forward and before he knew it he had stepped on a box of condoms. They were half way opened. Wow, this is awkward. He again examined the messy contents of the room and then the box of protection. Instantly he became jealous.

“Sorry that the rooms a hell hole.” Eric never noticed what Minwoo stepped on. He headed over into the kitchen. “Make yourself at home.”

If Hyesung saw this, he would die of a heart attack, Minwoo thought. He carefully zig zagged over to the white sofa and made himself comfortable or tried too.

“Eric?”

“Yeah?”

Curiously wasn’t going to kill Minwoo like it did the cat. He just had to ask.

“This may sound personal but…do you bring anyone special up here?” Minwoo closed his eyes waiting to be yelled at but surprisingly Eric answered.

“No, I’ve been single for a year now. I do get lonely though.”

Awww. Minwoo pouted. He thought Eric sounded so cute at that moment.

“Do you go on dates still?”

“Yeah, but I started to do less of that.” Eric poured some tea into the cups. “What about you Hyun bin?”

“Same as you. You could hardly find the right one now a days.”

Wait a minute! Eric never ever drinks tea!

Minwoo grew weary during the long conversation he was having with Eric. Some of the things he was saying he had already heard before and he had to pretend to be shocked. Then Eric grew impatient and reached for Minwoo’s glasses, the singer pulled back abruptly.

“Hey wait a minute!”

Eric groaned. “What the hell is wrong? I just want to see you.”

“No.”

“Why not? Man, you’re so shady right now.”

Minwoo said nothing and stood up. “I have to go now.”

Eric looked up. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you were someone I know.”

Minwoo’s eyes met his. “If you’re so sure about that, then just say who you think I am.” He was confident that Eric wouldn’t know. He took a step back as Eric stood up carefully.

“Dude, you followed me. You’re rich, you sat at the same spot where me and my band mates sit. Shinhwa, yeah that group. Sure you’ve heard of them. Your voice sounds fake as hell, your hair looks tacky, those damn glasses, and you smell like him. Let me not forget the way you looked when you saw those…condoms on the floor. Oh and the way to fidgeted a little when I started talking about my ex girlfriend. You know, my friend always did that.”

At this point Eric was towering above Minwoo, appearing dominating. His brows were furrowed, the corner of his mouth was curved into a wicked smile, and his arms her tightly crossed. “And you are the same lame height as him.”

He’s not so dense after all, Minwoo gulped.

“Eric…”

Before Minwoo knew it, his lips were being claimed by Eric’s. The searing warmth of Eric’s wet lips was so overwhelming that that he almost lost footing. He grabbed the taller mans shoulder to support his self. He closed his eyes and continued to let Eric kiss him, until he himself pulled away. He couldn’t believe what had just happened. Eric stared at him half lidded, gasping for air.

Minwoo’s mouth hung open lost for words.

Eric looked intently down at the floor and timidly said, “Give it up Minwoo…I know it’s you.”

Minwoo’s whole body grew hot and he knew his face was as a red as a beet.

“Eric.” Minwoo’s nimbly snatched off his sunglasses.

Eric looked at him. “Sorry.”

“Huh? Why are you apologizing?”

“Cause…I kissed you.” Eric said.

“I don’t mind.” Minwoo bit his lower lip. This was awkward. He watched as Eric turned his back ways from him. Minwoo now pulled off his wig. “I should be the one saying sorry. I tricked you but Eric…when did you know it was me…” Minwoo reached up and with his fingertips ran them over his lightly swollen lips.

“I’ve known you for so long, what do you think? I know you like the back of my hand.” Eric sighed. “But you did get me in the beginning you know.”

They stood like this. It felt like hours for Minwoo. He wanted to ask so many questions. Eric the same.

Eric finally slumped back down on the sofa and stared out the window over at the city lights. “Minwoo…what are you doing?”

Minwoo sat down next to him. “You’re the one that kissed me.”

Eric grew embarrassed. “Okay…and…”

Minwoo reached over and took Eric’s hand. He was sick of the shyness that he was receiving. Eric watched as Minwoo leaned forward and pressed his soft lips against his. Minwoo’s hand tightened around Eric’s. They stayed like this for a while, gently caressing each other with innocent kisses and then eventually deepening them, until Minwoo whispered, “Let’s put those condoms into use shall we?”
