Everyone says Seungkwan has sense. He knows what to say to who, when to say it, and he handles it effortlessly, as simply as he breathes. He's had sunbae-nims ruffle his hair, laughing good-naturedly, eyes crinkled into crescent moons. It makes him the most memorable of the group whenever they go on variety shows, and he makes friends like a fish swims in water.
Hansol, too, has sense. Not in the way Seungkwan does, leaving people in stitches from laughter or cooing in adoration, but more the innate ability to realise what's going well or what's going wrong. He knows precisely when to keep quiet and give someone a hug, when to give a small compliment to brighten someone’s day, and it’s all down to instinct, something he doesn’t have to control himself to do.
Junhui is jealous. He's jealous that both of them are such opposite spectrums of sense, but he's cursed with neither kind. He's older than them, sure, but he can never really tell what to say and when to say it or how to react to things, who’s thinking about what at any given time. His tongue is clumsy, stumbling over words and tripping over sentences, and by the time he realises what he’s said, or hasn’t said, it’s too late to take it back, kind of like trying to put toothpaste back into its container or something, or kind of like when two people confess to you at the same time, and you walk away and never give a straight answer.
He wishes he had sense, because now he's left two boys with broken hearts, and he doesn’t have the sense to fix them at all.
