[public] Dress alterations and flat shoes

It's a bit of a long shot but can anyone recommend someone to do alterations to a dress in the Canterbury / Ashford / Folkestone / Dover neck of the woods? I've got a velvet dress that needs taking in, but I don't want to risk a botch job

I have a pair of these Fitflop shoes in black. Very comfortable. I had them on my wish list for ages as they were out of my price range but one day noticed they were half price so snapped them up!

I've also found these Mary Jane style that you might like.

For the dress, try Di Burns at Skylarks, Studio 7, 56-58 the Old High St, Folkestone 07702 135816. If she can't do it she'll probably know someone who can - she used to run a fab vintage/handcrafted shop in Sandgate and now runs workshops.
