I was watching re-runs when I was younger and I saw the first 4 doctors I came in on the end of Tom Baker being the Doc.) but I was a Tom Baker Doctor fan too. I fell in love with the 5th Doctor also but was pissed when he took over for Baker.
I don't remember that guy from Torchwood and I have never seen him in anything else. I was hoping maybe David Hewlett would be in the running myself. He would have made a great Doctor.
I remember that it took me a loooong time to warm up to Davison when he took over from Baker, 'cause I loved Baker so much, and since that was the first time I'd seen the Doctor regenerate.
David Hewlett would be a fun choice (I loved him as McKay), but I doubt we'll ever see someone from the other side of the pond cast as the Doctor.
I hate that they keep changing actors but I guess it keeps it fresh. I felt the same about Davidson because I liked Baker.
David Hewlett is a native of England. I have no Idea when he came to live in Canada but he is English. His parents still live there and he visits often.
