It's truly astonishing to me how very quickly time moves. Blah blah I knooow that is one of the most cliched things ever said, but this summer has really zoomed by. What does a store having or not having a certain magazine have anything to do with the denizens travelling? It isn't as if the Napans who work at the store have to trek through the Outdoors to pick up the magazine...

Outside Magazine? Seriously, that rag is about hiking shoes and useless gadgets for people with more money than sense. If all you're worried about is going OUTSIDE... why would you need a magazine? You put on your sneaks, you open the front door... and presto-chango! You are outside. It's a miracle of life that does not require lame editorial recommendations or buying guides or, come to think of it, leaving the county. We've got plenty of perfectly lovely outside in this grand ol' chunk of real estate. Hell, why would we want to leave somewhere that other people spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to get to?
