The linked page is a Let's Play (screenshots with creative narrative) of my favorite video game, Persona 3. It originates the phrase "My life is a goddamn mess."

I don't have to lose my bed though! But my house is still a festering pit of pestilence. At the rate I'm washing my hands, I'm going to wash them away.

Oh, it's a video game! It all becomes clear now.

At the rate I'm washing my hands, I'm going to wash them away.

I hear you. Gah!

It is. And the guy shooting himself in the head? That's the main character. He summons his Personas (sort of like Pokemon, but mythical creatures) to do battle for him that way, and they explode out in a little cloud of shadows and coalesce into something big and scary that attacks. So it's like shooting yourself in the head with a giant metaphor.

He saw a doctor today and has antibiotics now. They told him he won't be contagious after Thursday, and we have clean and Will-free sheets and towels. So we'll see. I think he still wants you to come (and of course I do! but I'm healthy), but you don't have to if you're afraid of catching something unholy.

I'm fine coming, probably, though maybe we'll delay a day - just do Saturday to Monday. Why don't we talk again on Thursday and see how we're all doing?
