A book someone should write: The Career Mystique. In the Feminine Mystique, we learn how women are supposed to be magically happy about mopping floors, and how that's a bad thing. Agreed. But I think the view that your job utterly defines you is equally stupid. So just because you don't have the word's coolest job doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you, anymore than not having the shiniest floor means theres something wrong with you.
