Today Auntie is going to take Nathan on his first carousel ride.

Later in his life, he'll remember his mom taking him on his first carousel ride, but the truth will be that his Aunt Emi, the carousel maven, did it when he was about six months old and had no idea what was going on, back when she wasn't technically his aunt yet. :D

The band organ was tootling away, the bell rang practically in our ears, and it is extremely difficult to get up on a 3/4-scale Stein & Goldstein horse (those suckers are BIG) with a six-month-old strapped to your belly, but the kid was legally dead.
