I'm not always great at makeup either, hon, but I'm starting to learn. What you really need to do is go to one of those makeup counters at a department store and tell them you want to learn how to apply basic makeup - nothing fancy, just basic. They'll usually expect you to then buy some of the makeup, but you can pick and choose what you want.
I did that with my sister at Bloomingdale's back in January - we went to the Bobbi Brown counter. If you want me to go with you, I totally will, but after classes get out.
Huh. I was thinking about that as part of wedding prep stuff -- a friend of my family is going to do my hair and makeup, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to go to the mall and try some out on my own. Sounds like a plan.
You did? Really? Even during the Goth phase? I guess I'm out of practice... I used to be better early on in college, but then I just stopped caring, and now everyone in NY looks chic and put together and I feel like a nebbish.
I hate hate hate bra shopping. I went up too. :( Will was like "I thought women wanted to be bigger?" I had to explain to him that women don't think about size like guys do.
I still don't wear any make-up, but I plan to learn before the wedding too, in the same way that someone else suggested... also I hate bra shopping too (and I think so do at least 50% of girls, hate-hate-hate)... but I do like What Not to Wear on TLC for how to dress anyone's own body type.
