I hate wedding planning. No one ever trusts you to know what you want, and when you do find something you know you'll love, everyone's waiting to steer you away from it or let you know how poorly you've chosen. I wish this were all over.

ETA: ...buuut then once in a while you get someone who realizes they've said something obnoxious to you, and ( Read more... )

I tried -- we found a resort in the Poconos that offered pretty much everything we wanted in a honeymoon -- but family took a passive-aggressive shot at that and now I feel like hell again.

And this is just the wedding! I can only imagine how bad it would be if I eventually popped out a kid. Everyone would be lining up to tell me how to raise the thing and point out everything I'm doing wrong. I'll just get a cat. In life, as on the Internet, everything's better with cats.

I don't understand, how do the people in question even begin to think it is their place? How do they frame these things? What passive-aggressive shots can be taken?! It's your honeymoon! They don't have to go!

The comment I got was "but you can go to the Poconos any time! I just want you to go somewhere special!" Um, thanks, but we were really excited about all the cool stuff available to do on this honeymoon, and that was special enough for us, and now I feel like ass. Oh well, I booked it anyway, I'll eventually get back to "ZOMG we're going to have SO MUCH FUN".

Anyone who questions any of my wedding decisions always frames it in terms of what's best for everyone involved. And the person in question has been putting pressure on me to fly and most likely thinks that my fear of flying is holding me and Will back. I do have to work on that, it's just... this isn't the time.

testifyyyy, girl.

I know I won't like my wedding. But, you know what? I don't care. I'm just going to show up, let everyone tell me how pretty I am, and then leave.

After my honeymoon, I plan on tearing everyone involved a new fucking asshole because they can't do jack shit then. >;3

Just do what you do. If they're with you, they're with you-- if not, then not. Make yourself happy... I hate to see you feeling down over backseat wedding planners. :/

As hard as it is to deal with right now in this moment? And as much as it's going to likely make you want to tear your hair out ( ... )
