Toe

The first word I ever heard my niece utter was “toe.” She actually said, “toe, toe, toe,” all the while pointing at her toes. I hadn’t the heart to tell her she needed to use a plural. Anyway, today, I am sitting here in something like despair, hoping and praying I don’t have a broken toe. And she is connected. Although I accept full blame. The ( Read more... )

Ouch! Little girls are nothing but trouble. I banged my toe quite badly a few years ago (no children involved) and it looked awful for a while but healed eventually without any intervention.

My ex worked for Westdoc in the past, he did agency work quite a bit! The painkillers bit sounds about right.

When I went to Westdoc for my calf, that's all I got, painkillers, so I expect a toe may not fare even so well. I am fed up.

Pleaaaassseeee, let it be so. I've done this before. It would not even be a novelty this time. And I was doing mighty walking and losing loads of weight too. I'm so fed up.

Owww. :( I hope it's not broken.
I've been doing heaps of walking too, and I can imagine how frustrating it must be to have your exercise program interrupted.

Well, even if it's broken there's not a heck of a lot anyone can do. You can't splint a toe. The best you can do is tape the hurt one to those on either side. If it's the big toe...you'd know if it were broken. But again, there's not much a doc can do unless it's at right angles and needs to be set ( ... )

I am in awe at your knowledge about medicine. I guess that what's breaking every toe bar one does for you. I've actually only taken two nurofen so far, and that was for a giant headache, I guess brought on by the stress of not wanting this problem.
Make it go away. :)

Four kids, lots of injuries, and I'm pretty clumsy myself. :)

Take the ibuprophen. It's amazing how much that extra little bit does. People are usually not too keen on it, but when you consider these are the prescription doses, it's less scary.

I hope your poor toe is feeling better today. That is the WORST one to break. (((hugs)))
