I sympathize with the novel/short story war. What if there was a community devoted just to novel writing?

I'd love a community just dedicated to novel writing. But what would we do? I don't like the crit each chapter as it's done format. Any ideas?

I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to critting a full novel chapter by chapter (or even as a whole), partly because I forget details, then use up time reading old chapters...

But it wouldn't need to be a crit group necessarily.

Maybe a place to vent, post progress, get support, ask for general questions and advice? The crits would be optional I guess for people who would like that. All I know is that my novels are feeling severely neglected.

That would be lovely. Do you think someone would set up such a community for us? Just kidding slightly. I'd love a place like that. I don't know of one though, or whether there is enough general interest to make starting up one worthwhile or likely to be successful.
