*One of the kittens attempts to climb up Bolly's leg, perhaps in an attempt to prove its catness. Meanwhile, Dae tries to keep the other two from wandering away or climbing up his robes too.* I don't know? Anyone can go in the dorm, I guess someone could be pranking me with fake cats? They seem real to me.
*Bolly picks the kitten up to examine her. Him, apparently. To examine him.* They're not new-borns. Their eyes aren't blue any more, so I'd guess maybe six weeks? If you're real, *he adds to the kitten, carefully holding him in one hand to try the general counter spell, the general untransfiguration spell, and the anti-animation spell.*
Either a kitten, or better than first year magic, *Bolly decides.* I think he might be hungry. *Or in need of petting. Petting commences, just to be sure.* Do you really just let anyone who wants to wander into your dorm room whenever they like?
Yeah? Nobody's ever bothered to, except if they're trying to find somebody. *He has a kitten in each hand, this isn't very efficient so he tries to get one to sit on his shoulder, with mixed to positive results.*
We stopped researching tracking charms because it weirded Sofie out, so that's out. I dunno. I think first you should get them water, and some food, and some kind of kitten pen where they can be safe and warm and have plenty of room but also not escape. And theeennn you should... post a notice in all the common rooms?
That's a good idea. I was going to ask Blue if he could ask the prefects about it but I didn’t know how to leave the kittens alone safely. You're right, they should probably be in one place where their mother can find them. I'm a little worried there's more, since I don't know how many there should be.
You need about four square feet of space per kitten, with maybe foot high walls, with a litter box area at one end, and a water station at the other, and soft bits for sleeping on, and something to climb on, and something to scratch at, and toys.
Alright, let's do it. Ow. *This is to his shoulder kitten, who rather than being scooped up would rather dig its very sharp little claws in* My bad, sorry!

Huh. That's cool, I guess.
Maybe a mother cat put her baby cats here for safe keeping while she hunted them up some food?
