*Her mouth hangs open for a second while she starts and abandons several sentences before deciding on:* Please don't take potions if you don't know who made them or where they came from.
Well...I suppose it would depend on what they were and I doubt someone would risk being truly harmful. It wouldn't be very ethical, but I suppose selling sugar water is a bit more naughty than truly bad. I don't know what the rules are around it all, students lying to each other sounds like the kind of thing the rules leave up to social consequences.
I mean, if someone were selling Calming Draughts, it would be best for everyone if the only person doing that had authentic, seal intact bottles from a reputable source, right? That wouldn't be against any rules. Anyone could owl order individual bottles right now.
I'll admit I'm not thrilled with the idea of anyone paying for what ought to be stocked but I don't think reselling anything is against the rules? We could look at the student handbook.
Yes? Do they...they don't give it to you when--oh, at any point, really, it ought to come with your list of supplies, I would think. I have a copy, although now that I'm thinking about it I realize nobody gave it to me, it just happened to be in the infirmary.
Deliberately distracting Professor Boot so he can't make you potions so I can sell people Grampa Fred's potions at retail price despite having bought them at bulk price seems a step too far.
Yeeeees, that would be entirely too much. Please don't do that, I'm sure Professor Boot has a great many things to do already, and I'm afraid you'd have access to potions enough that I'd have to really worry about your frequent customers. I hadn't thought about there being a black market at all, I don't know that it makes me feel very much better to think about you running it.
Soooo if someone did have some, they'd be going at a premium?

What? Of course not! Grampa Fred would somehow know instantly and appear in the school to lecture me.

Good! So he should. Goodness. Something else to worry about, I suppose. Not your grandfather, I'm sure he's a lovely man.

It would be pretty bad if someone started selling things to students they said were calming potions and weren't at all.

I don't think anyone's ever mentioned it to me before. May I make a copy of yours to keep?

Of course. I'll make sure to ask the deputy headmaster if it's the most updated version as well, he's meant to stop by with the daughts today.

You're restocking that fast? I mean, that's good. It is good that you are doing that. Very efficient. *He nods solemnly.*

It does help our supplier lives here. Of course, the deputy headmaster is very busy, but he can be quite quick, I'm sure.
