Looking at health insurance gives me a headache. It is almost impossible to find a plan that covers maternity visits. I think it's more of a class thing as most regular jobs absolutely offer some level of maternity care. That type of care is very expensive as well...and to include it in a package available to a young single person would make the package prohibitively expensive.

Sorry it's not working out. But huzzah on thinking on the wee bairns.

Yeah, I know, its totally crap. I think one of the reasons they don't cover it is cause they know the government will. At least in most states there is emergency pregnancy insurance you can get from the state, and public health clinics cover a lot of that stuff..at least most places, but it is still total crap that if you give in and pay outrageous premiums for health insurance when you can't afford it that they don't even cover basic things like preganancy..and they don't cover most big things like incurable diseases or surgery either..so really, what is the point of them? I mean..everything else almost you can go to public health or sliding scale clinics for anyhow, so unless its an emergency room visit it all seems pretty damn useless and a waste of my money (of course..the moment I break something I might say differently *laughs*)
