My guess would be you didn’t proof it long enough, but then you cooked it either too high or too long, but I am definitely guessing. Doesn’t the book say?

Well, I misplaced the recipe book while I was working on the bread. I guessed on how long I should cook it. And I still can't find the book.

Yes, but Ifucked up the bread. I burned it a little but I don't think that's the problem. It tastes wrong.
