In 1992 I traveled to Vegas with a friend who was planning to attend UNLV the next year. Our mission was to find him an apartment and then attend a three day run of Dead shows at the Silver Bowl. It was to be my first Dead show and I was excited. I had been a fan all through high school after being turned on to them by an old pot connection. After a full day smoking pot, taking acid, doing balloons, a few beers and watching the Dead and Sting in the 120 degree heat, we were ready for some bright lights and A/C. To the strip we went
